One night in Nairobi

A warm welcome awaits you on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your driver guide will meet you and transfer you to your city hotel for a restful first night in Kenya.

Days 2 - 3

Two nights in the Masai Mara

After breakfast you depart for the fabled Masai Mara, part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and world famous for the Great Migration and Big Five sightings. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge then head out on an afternoon game drive across the savannah.

Spend the next day exploring Masai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives or a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalo and abundant plains game. You can also visit a Maasai village to learn about local culture, or add an optional hot air balloon flight at dawn.

Days 4 - 5

Two nights in the Serengeti

After an early breakfast you travel toward the Isebania border and connect with your flight into central Serengeti. On arrival you are met and transferred to your lodge, with an afternoon game drive to introduce you to the endless Serengeti plains.

The next day is dedicated to safari in Serengeti. Morning and afternoon drives give you time to explore different habitats and follow the movement of wildebeest, zebra and predators. During migration season the plains can be filled with hundreds of thousands of animals.

Days 6–7

Two nights at Ngorongoro

Leave Serengeti after a last morning game drive, travelling by road into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim in time for lunch and an afternoon at leisure, enjoying dramatic views into the caldera as you prepare for your descent.

The following day you drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half day of game viewing among lakes, woodland and open grassland. This natural amphitheatre is home to elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle and a healthy population of lions and hyenas, as well as flamingos on the lake shore. Return to the crater rim for dinner and a second night at your lodge.

Day 8

One night in Arusha after Lake Manyara

Depart Ngorongoro after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive between the escarpment and the lakeshore. Keep an eye out for tree climbing lions, elephant herds and flocks of flamingos. In the afternoon you continue to Arusha where you check into your city hotel for dinner and overnight.

Days 9–13

Five nights on Zanzibar Island

After breakfast you transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport and fly to Zanzibar. On arrival you are met and driven to your beach resort, where you are booked on an all inclusive basis.

Spend the next five days at leisure on the island. Relax on the white sand beach, swim in the warm Indian Ocean and enjoy the resort facilities. You can also add optional excursions such as a spice tour, Stone Town walking tour, snorkelling or dhow cruises to nearby reefs.

Mara Plains Camp

Just north of the Maasai Mara Reserve, in the 30,000 acre private Olare Motorogi Conservancy, this Relais & Châteaux camp offers you outstanding game experiences without the restrictions that the reserve itself imposes on other lodges. Angama Mara
